Welcome to Learn to Make Anything! I manage the Digital Scholarship Commons in the University of Victoria Libraries and am the father of five wonderful children. I am looking forward to working with you this term.
My research interests include academic makerspaces, active learning teaching methods, flipped learning, and open pedagogy. I have worked at the University of Victoria since 2001 and taught various educational technologies since 2005. In the Digital Scholarship Commons, we help the UVic community explore and express their ideas in ways other than text by making available digital tools like 3D printers, electronics kits, Virtual Reality equipment, and data visualization software, and teach individuals how to use those tools.
